The Game Warden that has been standing on the dock two times when I was getting ready to take out has told me twice" You know that you can use your motor to load and unload don't you?" He came up and was shooting the bull with me after I pulled out.
That's good to know. I'll get a confirmation from the Dept.
I go to beaver pretty often and I see it done all the time and have never seen anyone say anything about it.
I put a 21' Gambler in several times a year with the big motor. I just live a couple miles away and fish it quite a bit, keepers are few and far between but there are some in there.
There are some in there, be patient or try one of the other lakes
Are you allowed to idle on the lake with the big motor or can you just use it to load/unload? I was under the impression that you just couldn't get up on plane, but were allowed to idle around.
This is what the KDFWR Fishing/Boating book says:
10 HP operated at slow speeds
which cause no disturbance or interference
with fishing are required on:
Beaver Lake,
However, I wonder about a larger HP rated motor that is operated at idle speeds?
