Beaver Lake

This is what the KDFWR Fishing/Boating book says:

10 HP operated at slow speeds
which cause no disturbance or interference
with fishing are required on:
Beaver Lake,

However, I wonder about a larger HP rated motor that is operated at idle speeds?

I have seen tickets given to guys using their big motor to idle around the lake. They never would budge on the 10hp limit....I was even asked by one warden years ago to trim my big motor up while fishing. In the dead of winter I have seen guys using their big motor to idle around but they are doing so at their own risk.

It's funny though because my 10hp motor pushes my jon boat pretty good and that produces a huge wake....nothing has been said to me about that.

Maybe this is a source of water for the local area? Are they concerned with polution? I so make it a 4 stroke only lake because some of those 2 strokes I have seen spew some serious fuel and oil in the water.
