I really hear ya. I've toured some submarines, from WWII, Korean war era. How in the heck people could live in those tin cans is totally beyond me. And I have exceptional respect for folks that can go hundreds of feet down, fight an enemy they can't see, knowing they are one depth charge away from not seeing the surface again.
