Good luck Olgreen, hope you catch some. I am going to Guist Creek this morning. I have not been there in a long time and hope to catch a few bass.

Fishing was slow at Guist Creek today. My partner and I managed five bass with only three of them being keepers. Not much size to them either. All of our fish came on worms and spinnerbaits. Fish seemed to be on wood on sunny banks.

    Re: heading out this morning

I have not been to Guist Creek in almost 30 years.

Well I went to tuels creek ( rough river) and as I suspected it was full of people LOL and they were catching some good numbers of keeper fish but I didn't stay there. I done some out of the box thinking and found a place were there was 3 big rocks and a tree beside it , One scan of my fish finder told me all I needed to know and we came out with 30 9 1/2" to 10 1/2 fish with one being over 12 inches. The fog was really bad there this morning and it made for some cold damp fishing. I think the rain brought the water up a foot or 2 and the water color was a little murky..
I was just using minnows fishing them 10-13 foot deep, If I fished any shallow I started getting smaller fish 6-8" .. I didn't bass fish any as my back started bothering me to the point I had to get off the water. I think I will try my luck again Monday or Tuesday..
Oh we also caught 2 channel cats fishing night crawlers on the bottom...
I hope we have a nice warm winter... I look forward to doing a lot of fishing this winter..
