What makes it more interesting is that Alabama's head coach used to coach LSU but left to coach an NFL team and then years later returns to coach in the SEC knowing he would play his old school LSU.
LSU's coach Les Miles was hired when Saban left. Saban has a national championship win with LSU and Alabama. Miles has one with LSU. The SEC is a major force to be reckoned with in football. More than likely LSU will play for the national championship this year and prolly win again.

That was a boring game, but there is some serious defensive talent on display. That being said, West Virginia put over 500 yards of offense on LSU's defense.

Not a boring game to me. I love to see hard hitting defense. The games of 65 to 7 are boring to me. I like a close game and my team winning.
LSU is lucky, dang good....but lucky.

I give LSU all the credit they deserve, they won the game and that's that.

Alabama should have won, but add that to the ever growing list of shoulda coulda wouldas.

IMO, they should match the 2 best teams in college football for the championship, and if both teams win out that is Alabama and LSU. Of course being a Tide fan, my opinion is maybe just a little biased, besides that ain't happening anyway.

I could be wrong, but LSU will put a sound thumping on the likes of Boise or Okie State...Bama is their only real competition.

Alabama already blew their shot, why shouldn't Boise St. get a shot? I believe LSU will win it all, and would handle Boise, but who's to say. Boise has a very good offense and a talented qb. I know they are not facing the competition that others do, but that is not there fault. They beat georgia, who is going to play LSU for the SEC title, so if they go undefeated give them a shot. Every year you hear the same argument about teams in the non-bcs conferences, but then they win bowl games. Heck Look at the teams Boise has beaten in the last few years in their bowl games. They didn't have a chance against Oklahoma either, how'd that work out?

Maybe this can't be answered in a forum like this but why doesn't Boise State move to a BCS conference? Is it money? Tradition? Ignorance? Pride? I just don't understand if a program does so well with the big boys why they don't jump in with both feet? Just curious.....

They are probably going to end up in the Big East or whatever it is called. The reason they haven't moved is because there was no expansion going on. The BCS teams want to keep as many teams out as they can because it means a larger share of the pie for the rest. You are dealing with college athletics, which is one of the most corrupt businesses in the country. They are the private $1 billion business that is tax exempt and violates anti trust laws.

Why not indeed. I'll concede your point, as long as I don't have to watch teams play on that Godawful blue field of theirs. If they do get a shot, I'll bet you a beer (if we ever meet in person) LSU wins by at least 2 TD's.

I wouldn't take that bet because I believe LSU is the best team and have said so on this very board. Besides, I don't drink!

If the NCAA basketball champion was determined using these methods people would go nuts! Heck, using the flawed logic of the BCS and many fans, Butler wouldn't have been in the tournament, much less gotten a shot at the title. UConn wouldn't have been last years champion, because they wouldn't have gotten invited because they only finished ninth in their conference.

The point is, Bpoise St. is just has good as most anybody and should get a shot. I guess the big schools are getting scared of them because they keep losing to them. Ask Oklahoma or Georgia if they want any of the Broncos!

Heck, if they were in the SEC east this year they would win it and play LSU for the SEC title.
