Re: No thread about Penn State?

I just read the disgusting grand jury report. Every official at Penn State associated with this should be fired and prosecuted.

It appears that numerous people saw and reported Sandusky's deviant behavior and nothing of substance ever followed.

Folks, this can of worms is going to blow wide open and it's about time. I will not be surprised nor saddened when I read of Sandusky's suicide.

Student/fanatics rising up to defend molesting little boys....our leaders of tomorrow.

Hey Mills, do you find it interesting that the two biggest scandals to hit college football in years both happened in the Big 10? Who is running that shady conference anyway?

The person in charge of the Mighty Big Ten, has nothing to do with what took place at Ohio State and Penn State....Even the best AD could not have made sure that somethinglike this never took place at a University.....

Plus the very idea keeps popping into others heads...Could this sort of thing actually be going on at other Universities as well......

Saw footage last night of the student body rioting, overturning a news van, all in support of someone who didn't call the cops on a child molester. Give the SCHOOL the death penalty, not just the football program!

    Oh my goodness

Listening to Sports 790am (Louisville) on way home from work today. No hard proof but word is that Sandusky was pimping out little boys to big time donors. I hope its not true but at this point I think anything is likely.

Re: No thread about Penn State?

This Penn State story also brings up another very interesting unsolved mystery from 2005.
If you haven't seen it yet here is a bit.

The man investigating the 2005 disappearance of a central Pennsylvania prosecutor doesn’t believe it is linked to the prosecutor’s 1998 decision to not file child-sex charges against former Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky. Still, Bellefonte police Det. Matthew Rickard tells The Associated Press he’ll review how Centre County District Attorney Ray Gricar (GREE’-kar) handled the 1998 allegations — just to be thorough.
With the case back in the spotlight because of the Penn State child sex-abuse scandal, Rickard says he knows of nothing linking Gricar’s April 2005 disappearance to the prosecutor’s earlier investigation of Sandusky. Sandusky is charged by state prosecutors with molesting the alleged 1998 victim and seven other boys.
Earlier this year, a judge declared Gricar dead, at the request of Gricar’s daughter.

Kinda makes you wonder if this does have something to do with the case at Penn State now....Happy Valley was Joe Paterno..from what I'm reading and hearing everything that entered, went on and leaves Happy Valley went thru Jor Pa.....

Also for the life of me, why did this assist. coach not beat the crap outta Sandusky, when he found him in the shower with that 10 year old boy. That would have been my first reaction, srry but I have no room in this world for Child Molesters... To think about the reaction of that little boy..he probably thought he was gonna get rescued since they were caught in the shower...But no....the coach just turns around and walks out and leaves them alone......just turns my stomach to think about the whole thing......

No doubt Mills how could one walk away from something like that. Seems to me Penn state's football was hitting rock bottom a few years back. They were even calling for Joe Pa's head their at a time not to long ago. No wonder team was slipping there were more important things that needed covering up!

Now they've put this guy McQueary, who "allegedly" witnessed a rape of a young boy in a shower, on administrative leave. "Administrative leave?" That sounds like he's still getting paid! Why the hell haven't they fired his sorry ass too?? All he did about it was tell Paterno! He didn't even stop it!

Re: No thread about Penn State?

CBS has an article up talking about how Penn State still had Sandusky recruiting players all this time.

Article also says that every Penn State football recruit has now backed out.

I agree with you on that. I dont understand why someone wouldnt stop such a horrible crime when they see it and have the power to help that child. Yep fire his butt and make sure he doesnt work in that field again. He didnt stop it so maybe he is in on it. Another article says when this person told Paterno he said they were just horsing around. WTF is that! By the way, what I dont understand is how this abuser hds access to boys when this is a university with young men around 18-22yrs old.

Looks like Jerry just might be headed to the BIG HOUSE

Better sooner than later! Understand his claim to fame while playing at Penn State, that one of his achievements was his success as a "Defensive End"! He better hope he remembers how to play that game, or be a quick study and get into postion as a "TIGHT END", as I's sure some of "HIS FANS IN THE BIG HOUSE" are already looking forward to a few games in the showers. Pun, No....,hell yes, PUN INTENDED!
