Brian, I have patched the keel on a Jet Ski, I think it will be about the same, you will be able to patch it to were it will be water tight, but it won't get that patch as thick as the rest of the keel, maybe other on hear will have a better way, I got fiberglass mesh and cut pieces big enough to cover the hole, then sock the mesh in liquid resin one piece at a time, then put one piece over the hole and let it dry, then do it again, I got the kit at the Boat Dealer. hope it helps

After you get it patched put a keel guard on it to proctect it from future damage. Hambys and Keelshield both make a do it yourself install. Hambys also has an extra heavy duty keelguard but you must go to a dealer to get it installed. Both of the self install keelguards are good but heavy duty Hambys is best. It will out last the life of your boat even if you pull it up on the concrete ramp evey time you use your boat.

If your damage is not too bad a keelguard may cover up the bad spot good enough to act as a patch.

Looks like road rash. its a 1975 fiberglass boat thats seen to many concrete ramps. not a hole, just been grinded down over the years.

Those keel guards are tough as nails. I have a canoe that has them on it and granted it's not as heavy as your boat, but they are very tuff. Factory made yet easy to install. At least the canoe guards are.
