First thing is...all I knew or thought I knew was he was a popular Governor and a racist. He was for segregation and IMO it was based on ignorance, the times he lived in and fear.
I did read a little about him since you asked and now what I have learned is he was a democrat!?!? How ironic huh? I read about him and I won't continue typing stuff I just read since it's there for us all to read.... But I do appreciate the tip because I never spent the time to read about him. It's hard to imagine people voted for him the way they did.
What was your point? That Alabama had race issues? That they still do? Well i can tell you with 100% accuracy that all states do...some worse then others and every race is effected by it. Heck that's not news at all and I don't see any comparison to illegal immigration versus ignorance and fear from the 60's about black people. I just don't....
