Have they gone nuts in Washington?

Neither party has tried for the cuts that are needed, but the GOP is the lesser of the evils by far. The Dems will go 10 billion less than current spending levels, the GOP wants 61 billion. Neither is nearly enough.

Tax increases on anyone be they rich or poor is not necessary. The federal government already collects taxes on almost everything, especially income, and they have no business collecting more. America is T axed E nough A lready.

The federal government needs to start eliminating entire departments. Every silly axed czar of anything and their staffs need to be gone. Homeland Security...gone. Dept of Education...gone. Some other major agencies and hundreds of smaller duplicitous agencies...gone. Foreign aid handouts...gone. Obamacare...gone. Lobbyists, be they right, left, or in the middle...gone. Cut the pay of federal government employees (averaging over 100k a year right now) by 20%, and have them pay for benefits like the rest if us do.

Maybe I sound like some kind of a wingnut, but if an average citizen handled money like OUR government, they'd be bankrupt in 3 months.

I'll start with taxes and like Road Toad has pointed out the Grover Norquist's tax pledge is beyond Ridiculous because when you rule out a viable option from the get go no matter the situation then your not looking out for the best intrest of the country. TAX RATES IN THIS COUNTRY ARE AT THERE LOWEST IN ALMOST 60 YEARS.

Now to your cuts, how many people did you just send to the unemploymeny line at a time when good jobs are few and far in between and the economy still stalled?

And you want to cut the pay of federal government employees (averaging over 100k a year right now) by 20% because they have a cushy goverment job and you don't approve of what they are paid but talk of raising taxes slightly on millionares and such is a no no? I thought you guys on the right was against taking money out of anyones pocket but I guess if it's an evil goverment employe or union worker then it's okay.

I'm guessing you were upsest with the "uneducated" remark which I find to be out of line but like I said there are post on here all the time calling people fools, idiots, dumb, uninformed, sheep.... if you voted for Obama or would vote for him again and like you if some of these comments were made to my face then there might be a problem brewing.

Yeah that was it. Just hit me wrong and I didn't see any need for it. I'm pretty sure the only banned folks I have ever seen were PL, SlippedCork and Moose1am all of which were Liberals that resorted to over the line name calling and insults. Don't really see why since their politician of choice won! Can't really think of any others? So part of my point was he seemed to be taking that path.
