Rough has a variety of stains depending on where you are, although it has darkened considerably more each day this week as the rains kept coming in and the wind picked up. I fished there Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. The backs of the creeks are muddy, about 1/2 way out they were much better but still murky. The main river between the large island and Axtel had some nice color to it, but I noticed that there was some muddy water working into it from the muddier banks yesterday afternoon. Up by the dam is the clearest water I found, as you would normally expect. That water had about 1.5-2' visibility.
Not sure Rough will look like what you are wanting on Friday. It may clear out a bit with no rain for a few days. I was bass fishing and still catching fish. I don't know much about the crappie bite there.
Water temps were in the low to mid 50's.
the crappie were biting good last weekend
