Best fishing poles

Wife asked me to make a list of fishin stuff I wanted for next season. Thinking of upgrading some rods this year. So used to the common Ugly Stik and the dependability. Anybody have some recommendations of a decent rod a little more upscale? I typically use a senko Texas style. Love my bait caster reels too. Looking for a good rod less than or around $100. Also does the fast tip or extra fast tip really make a huge difference?

Ive got a few of the shimano convergence, They are only $49.99 and you get a lifetime warranty. Not to mention that they are a very nice rod!!!!!! And my favorite I have!!

Honestly your best result would come from going to a store that carries plenty of fishing equipment and giving a few different rods a try yourself. Everyone has different things they look for in a rod and only you know what you want. Many brands and styles of quality rods can be had for right around your price range. I have some Allstars, Team Daiwas, XPS, Shimanos, and a few others and each is for a specific application and most were right around or under $100. Good luck and let us know what you go with.

veritas is a great rod. very strong and sensitive. another option may be the new shimano compre. the rod is $109 i think, but for 10 extra bucks, your gettin a lot of quality for a great price!

I like the veritas to. I have a spinning rod and a casting rod like them both great rid for the money. I also like my kistler mag. Rod its a little more expensive but awsome rod. These are my two favorite rods can't go wrong wither either one.

I also have a skeet rece rod that I got off of a buddie of mine, that i love!!! it is a finess tube and jig rod and it is 7'6 I believe!!! but even tho its that long its so well balanced its unreal!!!! I can fell anything!! I love it!!! except I need to get a bigger boat cuz it wont fit in the rod locker but I have a 89 procraft 19'6!!!!

Abu Garcia Veritas best rod for the price. I have a very pricey spinning rod(ESOX) and i have a Veritas spinning rod and i use the Veritas more than the ESOX.
