Fished at Guist Creek Lake Today

We didn't get there until after 12:30 today. Got a couple bites early on but no takers. Then fishing near a dock I finally caught one small bass. The fish were soft biting today. I caught mine on soft plastic worm. Couldn't get a bite or hookup on cranks, spinners or jigs. Water is up maybe three feet. Muddy to stained depending on where we went.

I was there Friday also. I got there at sun up and started up the creek past the bridge. The water was pretty stained all the way back. Didn't get a sniff on anything.

I then went out to the main lake and did manage to get one 12.5 inch fish an a crankbait at the mouth of a cove. That was the only bite I had on anything. The water was fairly clear up by the dam but that didn't help.

Water temps 49 all the way up the creek and 51 out on the main lake.

I was surprised at all the water in the lake. It is up at spring levels.

We turned left out of the ramp and fished down that way. The guy in the marina said the lake came up about five feet but had already dropped about two feet by yesterday. The fish were really soft biters.
