Yeah it would. Hey, think of a trip leaving from Louisville, and running the Ohio the whole way up to Pittsburg, with a stop in Wheeling. I just don't think my boat could hold that much beer.I helped build the 4 lane road, that runs alone the ohio river from wheeling wv toward pittsburgh. we did the 3 mile section that starts as you are leaving wheeling. as I worked there I watched the Delta Queen paddle wheel pass through the first lock as your leaving wheeling. that would be some kind of boat ride, from the Gulf to pittsburgh and back. I hope to get to pass through wheeling wv again some day. a historic town for sure.
HurricaneBob, Thanks for posting the muskie story. I wish I could have seen that also.
I caught and released a 40 incher in Barren River yesterday right before the front moved in and it was pretty cool to see that fish jump all the way out of the water right beside of my boat. I thought that my wife was going to fall into the water netting the fish.
With this rain today, my son and I have been pacing around the house like to caged cats. Wishing we could be out fishing somewhere...
Your story was a nice break to this rainy old day!
