    I think the saying holds true, whatever your buying. you get what you pay for. I have the Lowrance hds-7 with structure scan. and I really like it. the hds-8 or hds-10 I think would be better. but they are a little pricey. if you go with the hds-7, download the 4.0 updates and it to will give you the 3 way screen split. just like the 8 and 10 does. ps. I think HB sells more units than all the other companies combined. but if I was buying another unit today, it to would be a Lowrance hds-7 or higher.

    Thanks for the update on the 4.0 update.. lol I didn't know they added another split for the 7 so that's some good info to consider. Does it just do three or can it do four (the last one being the gps). I didn't think I would want four but it came in very handy. I think I may end up adding a 7 to my bow, getting the link for my Yamaha outboard and networking it all together.
