I have been fishing Monroe since the mid 80's, as a child and now as an adult......I caught my first smallmouth there on Friday. Only a 16 incher, but it was a fun fight and agood end to my season!

Heard someone caught a 21" there 2-3 yrs ago in Dec. Go figure

That wouldn't surprise me....they're in there that big. From I have heard from several people, November, December, and the EARLY spring are the best times to catch them.

I have only fished it like twice and I have caught small mouth there
Granted, it wasnt very big.
