Cool! I was at the Outer Banks about 21 years ago and while fishing from a pier I, along with the other guys out there, saw a HUGE fin just above the surface of the water. A small plane was flying overhead and circled to look at it some more. It must have been a big shark cause it was quite a ways out from us but the fin still looked big. I think someone said it was possibly a hammerhead. Never did find out for sure.
