    current coditions at rough?

Good afternoon everyone,I am just newly registered today but have enjoyed the conversation here for years and I humbly hope that I will be able to contribute in some small way from time to time.today however I'm looking for a little help, has anyone had eyes on rough river to know what the water color is like? I don't mind fishing cold water but cold and muddy I just as soon not mess with. Any help would be greatly appreciated and thank you

I know they cancelled the weekly saturday open there for this week apparently because of water conditions. Whatever that means. I asked for clarification on the conditions but have yet to see a response.

With all the rain I would say the water is muddy back up in the creeks.. I talk to a friend of mine who lives down there and he said they had been cleaning house on the crappie that was until the rain.
The water leveal is above summer pool and rising. They seem to be holding the water because of the ohio being so full ..The water output at rough river spill way is at 233 CFS ,, If you don't want to fool with the upper side I would go to the spillway and try for some hybrids or crappie the out flow is just right for some good fishing.. Minnows are hard to find right now as every one is crappie fishing right now and the minnow supplier is low on stock as well.
Oh he also told me that finess fishing is a must and if your 3 " too high or too low you won't get a bite.. Small jigs are doing good and if you can find small minnows 1 1/2 " all the better..
Here is a place you can keep up with and it will let you know what the water leveals are for most lakes and the ohio river..
