    Cain is Gone

Herman Cain is now a HAS BEEN. He defeated himself before the elections.

Hallelujah! Praise The Lord! and good riddance.

Democrats done their job of knocking out Cain I do believe.....Had to get the dirt on the man they were the most scared of running against the POTUS...But Cain did shoot himself in the foot...he's a ladies man like Slick Willy was, only thing it cost Cain and just help Silck Willy sell his Book....

Newt for POTUS now for sure, was my pick as soon as he announced he would run......

    Re: Cain is Gone

I liked alot of what Cain had to say. I'm amazed that he chose to run if he knew the dirt that would come up from his personal life. I mean really?? Am I supposed to believe that he did all this stuff with women? I figured he has advisors on his team, knows how campaigns get dirty and still chose to run?? Why? Ego? Power? Look how much money has been wasted on him and how his image has been set in stone. He chose to drag his family through this??
Or is it all a bunch of crap?? Was he such a threat to the elections that folks were "encouraged" to come forward by the democrats?? Noone knows for sure but I'm disappointed either way.

It's easy to assume they were encouraged to come forward by the Democrats, especially when that fits so nicely into what you already believe. But it's equally likely that they came forward on their own, and their accusations are actually true.

It appears that often when people attain a political office or an important job with a large salary, their sense of self worth gets inflated, and their self respect and common sense go out the window. Many times when this happens they start taking unfair advantage of their employees and abuse them in many ways. They get to the point where they seem to think that they can do anything, take any unfair advantage, and have to answer to no one. Unfortunately for them life seems to even things out and they end up on TV and in the newspaper with egg on their faces and totally humiliated.

I have to agree with Rush tonight, not likely this was the democrats, they would have waited until after the primary. I still don't understand why people find it so hard to believe this. Does it not occur to anyone that all of this could be true?

Good point Tim...Oh yea, everything we've heard about Cain could very well be true. Nothing surprises me in regards to the lifestyles of the rich and famous.

    1. Did he commit all acts he's accused of? Only a handful of people truly know.
    2. Did the democrats have a hand in bringing the facts to light? Maybe, maybe not.
    3. Did any of the women recieve pay off's for coming forward? No one knows for sure but man it sure seems like in a couple of the cases that YES they were paid money to come forward...which brings me to question #4.
    4. If any of the ladies were paid to come forward, who paid them?

I just want a leader, I don't give a crap about black, white, dem, pub or anything else...give me a real leader who can lead this country.

What's everyone's opinion of Newt's leadership capabilities? What is Newt's stance on our troops being over seas? What's Newt's stance on the Wall Street Movement idiots? What's Newt's stance on foriegn trade, buying American and putting the country back to work? What's Newt's stance on social program's such as government run healthcare and unemployment insurance for those who have been recieving it for well over one year now? I need to research this guy now that he seems to be the apparent front runner.

    Re: Cain is Gone

Cain was quoted as saying; "Why I entered the race in the first place was because I wanted to try to change Washington from the inside. But now it looks like we need to change Washington from the outside."

How are "WE" gonna do that? Only one way I know of, vote'm all out.

I think a drunk monkey would stand a better chance of winning this election than Obama. It certainly would be the better of the two candidates.

I hope you are right but, this far away from the elections, anything can happen. Obama's claim to fame in the last election was that he was a "community organizer;" he also had the backing of ACORN. Who do you think those lawn lizards in "Occupy" camps will be voting for? Someone organized them and is providing food and money for them to continue and to increase their numbers. They wouldn't be able to survive for such extended periods of time without a lot of assistance.

I still say you guys need to be careful about dismissing Obama's chances, given the sorry field of candidates the GOP has put out there so far. Newt's the only one with anything like political savvy and clout, IMO. It remains to be seen just how unbeatable he'll be. But I think Obama would have a real chance of winning against ANY of the rest of them. I think some of you think it's a given that he'll lose, because YOU hate him so much. Gallup Daily has his approval rating at 43% right now:
    http://www.gallup.com/poll/113980/ga...-approval.aspx
Bush and Reagan were both around 46% a year before their reelections, not a big difference.

I'll throw a few answers out there for some of the questions you asked.

    1. You are correct that only a few people know what really happened but one person he told about the sexual harassment settlements was Curt Anderson, who worked in his camp when he ran for Senate in 2004.

    2. Cain himself said he knew where it came from and that it was Curt Anderson who leaked it. Curt started working for the Perry camp 2 weeks before the story broke. hmmmmm http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/...mdgM_blog.html

    3. No idea who got paid or if they got paid for their story but 2 of the women got settlements for their sexual harrassment claims filed against Cain and the supposed mistress was being taken care of by Cain.

    4. See above.

I posted on here that I gave Cain the benifit of the doubt when the story first broke but as time went on and more and more came out and then take into account the way he handled it I started to believe at least some of the stories are true.

With that said the accusations against him is not my problem with him, it's his performance to date when asked not so tough questions and his 9-9-9 tax plan.

I'll save my opinions on Newt for another day.
