    Dale still producing

A cell phone call put me on fish this afternoon. When a dock neighbor Dan Brown called about having a double on. He was fishing a hump in the Obey w/livebait. When i pulled in about 200 yards away, for the next 40 minutes we each boated 4-5 fish. Then like a light switch it was over.
Biggest 2 were 20 inchers, good heavy fish. Sitting in 25 ft. throwing onto this hump....it was nearly 3pm when it started.

Water temp was 52, lake is still rising slowly, easily see your bait down a couple ft. In another full week the lake could be summer pool.

12-09- found some of those football shaped SM today. Bite was good fished the same area today, as Thurs. we may have put 6-7 fish in the boat by noon.....one thing I have found,
my bottom needs to have grass close at hand. we also had some defined drains or elevation changes....When the bite would die Id try drifting the bait on walls, broken rock. Couldn't get a bump. Gradual incline with grass worked.
Go back to those grassy bottoms with dirt an fine broken shell that's in over 20ft an that's where our fish were found, Ill [post some pics. later) One of the live bait guides today had a 19 fish day with the nice heavy fish.
With everything weather wise being stable this week, the live-bait bite could be at its best for Dec.
