It is true...much like the donkey rig...you must have clearer water for the fish to visually see the immitated school you are trying to simulate. The A-Rig will work great on Nolin during the summer jumps when the water is nice and clear!

I think the A-rig will work in almost all water clarity. Granted the clearer water will help with the visibility strike, but the water displacement and vibration of five swimbaits will attract bass in stained water as well. Remember, these bass are programed to live and feed in muddy water as well as clear water.
What kind of rod do you throw this rig with? I've got a Med Hvy with Fast action but i'm thinking i need something more stiff. Any thoughts?

It's not the rod you need worry about. From what I understand these Alabama Rigs should come with a free gym membership just to help you throw them more than half a dozen times.

I have a 7'8 H swimbait rod....the proper rod will make it MUCH easier to throw all day....I threw it on a 7'4 H Cumara and liked to have worked myself to death
