So what's the LM fishing like on Nolin. I haven't seen anything from anybody about NRL and I'm hoping to go down there by the end of the week. Also, what's the water level and clarity look like?

I went Saturday and it was a wash. Water color looked good, but they are pulling over 3,000cfs of water trying to play catch up. That combined with the cold front coming through made things tough. I had two for the day, one on a jig, one on a cb. I felt thoroughly useless at the end of the day. Maybe someone else had a more productive day, but I think this weekend I am either going to Patoka (I'd rather not) or Dale Hollow (3 hours away). Plus there were a lot of floaters down by Wax. I marked some fish about 15 feet down, but I couldn't get them to bite anything. Water temp was 46-48 degrees. All this extra water makes me want to stay home. All three lakes that are close are pulling water hard. Except Patoka. I haven't figured out why they are holding the lake 5 feet over summer pool. Unless the Wabash is flooded???

Patoka Lake has been high all year. This spring they held it high due to the flooding downriver. I guess that with all this rain we have had down here in Southern IN the rivers below Patoka are still high.
When Patoka Lake is high it's harder to launch at some of the boat ramps. The water gets so high that you have to launch from the parking lot at one ramp.![]()
If you don't mind me asking what color jig and CB were you using? I think I might try the Alabama Rig at NRL. Sounds like this might be a good time of the year to try it since I haven't ever thrown it yet. BTW, is the water level still up or has it gone down since they're pulling it pretty heavy?I went Saturday and it was a wash.
