New in KY

Hooked up with an old friend of my father in law today, with my daughter and wife. Large pond stocked with crappie and large mouth. We caught about 20 crappie, my daughter took 3 by herself the rest she reeled from my pole. small white/red grubs at about half/slow speed.

They quit to warm up and I went to the back of the pond for some LM. Fished really slow with a non weighted Texas rig. Big bite and a hold but no hook up. So it was a great day. Seeing how excited my daughter was with her first fish was great and my wife recorded it.

Thanks for info on some good places, the amount of lakes/ponds/water out here is crazy. Thanks for mentioning otter creek. Don't mind catching trout every once in awhile. I will say I have never used a fly rod but wouldn't mind learning looks like a different world of fishing.
