You think 9/11 changed the world? A nuke deployed would turn it upside down and shake it until all the life fell out. I don't really care as much about Iran's oil, though a blockade would take oil prices through the roof and kick our economy in the teeth again. BUT, I think Iran with the ability to build a nuke is just about the scariest thing I could imagine short of zombie apocalypse or an asteroid the size of Uranus heading towards Earth.
I'm not a war hawk. But, I've got a baby being born this week and I'd like for her to grow up in a world that isn't trying to rebuild from a nuclear holocaust prompted by some whackjob Iranian jihadist with a nuke. You can't tell me that there aren't those people, in Iran, who would love to go out with a bang of epic proportions against Israel or the USA. You trust that government to keep a nuke secure from terrorists? You trust that government at all?
We need to do all that we can to be proactive and not allow Iran to build a nuclear weapon. If that's diplomatic or covert or whatever based on our intelligence that supports it, great...just get it done. If I was the POTUS it would keep me awake at night.
