In 2009 the City of Warsaw, KY was deeded ownership of The Craigs Creek boat ramp on the upstream side of the Markland Dam. The Gallatin County Bass Club, the City of Warsaw, KY and members of the community went to great lengths in assisting the State of KY in designing and building a new 3 lane boat ramp, tripling the amount of parking, and installing a floating dock. This site was set for the tournament anglers in mind. Easy access from I-71. Minutes to lodging & camping. So where are the tournaments?

If you're a tournament committee person and are looking for an area designed for the angler, you really need to check this ramp facility. Why launch from Carrollton & lock up - or from Tanners Creek & run 40 miles to fish Craigs.

This facility is also available to the public for FREE.

If you do plan a tournament here, it would be to your benefit to contact the local area Chamber of Commerce. 859-992-2300 and mention that "We're thinking of planning a tournament at Craigs. Can you help us out with........ These Chambers are annually funded and spend $ to promote events. Yeah NASCAR is here but......

Not at all Rob. I had a KY neighbor that's in FL last week visiting and came over talking of the lack of bass tournaments being held at EITHER location in Warsaw. She is on the Chamber of Commerce board. The Warsaw City park, even though it only has a single ramp, is great to hold a weigh-in with the new gazebo available, restrooms, electric..... There's no doubt if I was still living there I'd be promoting it for sure. I invested many hours , like others, getting the ramp project started. Heard you even came in for Mikes Tuesday night gig when the money was up. I looked forward to everyone of those tournaments. I just moved away, to a warmer climate, before the ramp was completed.

I'm pretty sure the KBFN has a tournament this year going out of Craig's Creek.

Magik, according to the schedule posted in a fishing paper I have the tournament out of Craig's Creek is the ninth of June.
