Well....he said in a nutshell that if the NAACP invited him to their convention he would go, and be prepared to speak about how African Americans should demand paychecks instead of being satisfied with food stamps. OMG - A white guy singled out black people?!?!?! He's RACIST!!! lol

I really have zero problems with his comments. If there was a NAAWP, National Association for the Advancement of White People, (which as a sidebar would be seen as an extremely racist organization full of white supremacy skin heads), he could make the exact same comment about white people who should demand paychecks instead of being satisfied with food stamps. There are plenty of white folks happy to draw a check from the government instead of actively pursue work that might keep them away from their busy days of being meth-head, lazy, vagrants.

There are reds, yellows, blacks, and whites who legitimately long for jobs, are trying hard, and can't get them...or are disabled, or unable to work for real reasons, or are children of folks in trouble. For those people, I have compassion and I want our government, through our tax revenue, to be able to help them survive until they can prosper without it. What I don't have a lot of sympathy for are the folks that stand around with their hands out and just expect it from Uncle Sam instead of working their asses off to
get it on their own. Newt's ideas about kids that have grown up in welfare states that don't know any better and have the deck stacked against them from the get-go are pretty spot on if you ask me. BUT, God forbid we put some kind of programs in place where they can help clean up around their schools for some cash (or similar projects) to learn the value of working for a dollar early....he's a whack-job child labor proponent then.

SURELY, SURELY, SURELY the liberal media isn't trying to make these comments addressed to the NAACP and African Americans a bigger issue than it really is in the period before a primary election in South Carolina? Ever been to South Carolina? Let's just say that there's a lot of people in the Palmetto State who could be enticed by the media if comments about African Americans were spun a certain way.

Does anybody really think that African Americans, or anyone for that matter, should be satisfied with a life on welfare instead of paychecks????

The thing about newt is he tells it like it is. He doesn't shy away from much and of course there are folks out there just chomping at the bit looking for him and every candidate to stumble. I think he means well, most informed, most experience but at the same time he needs more work on his temperament and curb appeal.

I saw Newt on TV with his current wife. What does this guy do trade in for a newer model every 4 years. Callista's hair looks more like a hemet than hair. I cannot imagine her going out on the lake crappie fishing.

Newt apparently has some high rent with her, $1,000,000.00 credit line at Tiffanies.

Anyway these are the Family values we should be concerned with, divorce your wife if she starts to age and marry the girl that could be your daughters best friend.

The problem is that this is the fellow that condems others for being anti family values.

He filed for divorce from his first wife and had her served divorce papers while she was in the hospital recovering from cancer treatments. Talk about a low blow.

He said in an interview that part of the reason he divorced his first wife was that she was not young or pretty enough to draw votes as a First Lady.

So the question is how comitted is he to any value or stance?

Hope you get the chance to vote for him this spring.
