I'm recycling a bunch of old FnF jigs - stripping them down to just the jighead so I can start from scratch on them. They are all oxidized or tarnished and I'd like to brighten them up before I begin retying. Anyone know of a way to do this?

I would suggest repainting with powder paint. It is really pretty simple once you get the paint. Hold the jighead with forcepts or needle nose pliers and heat them over a heat gun for a few seconds on each side, quickly dip it in the powder paint, tap the excess paint off, and let cool. Then reheat them for an extended period in something such as a toaster oven to cure and harden the finish. Look on youtube for videos showing the process.
If you don't have that many, i use fingernail polish. Pick a color you like, put on 2 coats, then use a clear sealer. I do this on all my worm heads...tr
I use fingernail polish too. It's easy and cheap. I find that it holds up much better than store bought painted jig heads. I can bang a jig off rocks over and over and the nail polish is still there when pre-painted jig heads would chipped off.
