To my thinking their main crime is "stupidity". They are young, and very foolish, for doing something like that in the first place. In the second place, they have to be less than brilliant, for letting themselves be filmed while in the act. The military needs to conduct history classes for their recurits, the history of other soldiers caught doing stupid stuff in the past and the punishment given for it. That is one of the reasons we study history, so we do not repeat the same stupid mistakes over and over again. Now they are going to suffer the consequences. Just my opinion.
