Naw man I know what your saying. Yes it would be nice and I guess we all get to experience that in some form or fashion with our families...maybe it's with kids, grandkids or spouses but to expect it from anyone else is a dream.

I also agree that stuff like this happens in war a lot more than the general public ever sees. There were horrendous things going on in Vietnam alone...but that doesn't make them okay. It just so happens that these guys filmed it and shared it with the world. It's a lot easier in today's world to turn an incident behind a sand dune 5000 miles away into world news headlines 5 minutes later. A lot is being made of it, because they made it easy.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions and that's cool. We can disagree and still share a beer at the end of the day. All of that said...I still don't think it's right to desecrate dead bodies like that, even if they are the corpses of the enemy.

"Look, marines kill to win, and sometimes they kill a lot and that's good, that's fine, that's war. But in victory we are trained to be compassionate, we are trained to be respectful and this incident was neither of those." -Lieutenant Colonel Jay Stout, a former U.S. Marine Corps pilot

Those brave Marines did what every red blooded American wants to do . Express their feelings about how Americans are treated by them. They sent a message to the Taliban!
