Fishing below McAlpine locks and ****

How close or how far from the dam or hydros will the sauger, striped bass and other fish be? Do I need to fish right against the hydros or should I move down river some? Ill be bank fishing.

Going to be tough fishing from the shore with the rising water over there. I would try right up behind #1 at the hydros and hope for some eddie water....Around the bind the current is going to be hard to fish. If I did I would try right below the top of the chute in the little bit of eddie water that forms there. It is pretty deep right off the shore...Be careful and good luck..Chuck
