Has to be my highlight of the year player to watch for sure. Don't remember a season when I have watched as many NFL Football games from start to finish as I made it a point to watch the Bronco's. Have you seen his commercial? Saw it for the first time today. Power drink of some sort I think. Takes a nice shot at critics. If I remember correctly.
I think a lot of people need to grow a sense of humor re: Tim Tebow. Lest you forget, the man has a huge fan club, and there was the whole "Tebowing" fad, where people took pictures of themselves in his characteristic pose in various settings, which was not done to denigrate the guy, but was actually a sign of RESPECT. A lot of people seem to be miffed about supposed "attacks" on him, but I think the real criticism has been minimal. What there HAS been is him becoming a media sensation, which suddenly everybody is talking about, so of course comedians are making jokes about him. And the man can't seem to speak two sentences without proclaiming his devotion to Jesus, so of course that's going to become part of the jokes. I'm sorry, Christians, but that's life, and some of the jokes are funny, so deal with it. It's not an attack on his religion, or yours, it's just poking fun at his constant proclamations ABOUT his religion. You have to understand, when he walks off the field after beating the Steelers and says, "First and foremost I’ve got to thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and my teammates," that sounds to a lot of people like he's thanking Jesus for the win, and believes that Jesus is a football fan and causes one team to win and another to lose. I know that's a misinterpretation of what he's saying, but it does SOUND like that, especially given that fact that he mentions Jesus and his teammates in the same sentence, as if they're on the same level. So I'm sorry, but the rest of us heathens, who like me haven't bought into John 3:16, are going to make jokes about him. We don't mean any harm. If anything, I respect the guy for sticking to what he believes.
When are people going to accept the fact that the guy is just not a good quarterback? He ranked 27th in the league statistically. His quarterback ranking is in the bottom of the league among starters and two rookies were much better than him. Too many people have trouble separating the football side from the real man side. Tebow is a great human being, but a bad quarterback. It's not that hard to understand.
I have heard hours of talking heads beat this guy into the ground with stats. He was tossed into a situation where a team had a losing record with no hope of winning many games....they sukked! He gets them winning and to the playoffs. That I understand. When are people going to accept the fact that the guy is just not a good quarterback? He ranked 27th in the league statistically. I don't think he will ever be a Manning, Brady or Rogers but I think he will emerge as a very good QB when he finds a home....Denver ain't it.
I think in three years he will be out of the league. He was only in the playoffs because they are in a bad division. The AFC West was so bad that nobody wanted to win it.
Let me ask you this Don. Who is he better than? Would you rather have him over Dalton or Cam Newton?
Based on what Cam did I think I would take Cam. Cam has speed, height and the makings of being one of the better QB's in the league. Tebow has alot of things left to prove and Cam has already proven he can hang. I hope tebow is around for more than three years.
Not giving up on Tebow. He has always been told he couldn't and finds a way to win. His story ain't over yet.
Never seen stats win a ball game. Arron Rogers and Drew Brees had great stats yet they got sent home just like Tebow. When are people going to accept the fact that the guy is just not a good quarterback? Your right, stats don't tell the whole story, does MVP's and Super Bowl rings count? The only thing Tebow has in common with Rodgers and Brees is that he also is in the NFL.![]()
I didn't remember seeing Tebow on defense Sat nite. You know the defense that got jacked for 45 points.
Yeah I guess so at least they can look at them will they sit at home. Guess Tebow has to look at his Heisman and NCAA championships. Time will tell.
