I think that was back in the 50's and 60's when it was bad in the south and segregation occured. I liked his speeches and he was against violence of any kind. The black panthers would do well to follow his lead. Unfortunately he was killed. I would have liked to see what he could have accomplished.
Gills, MLK was not a gentle Christian man as was portrayed in the media although they called him "Reverend." A certain black singer, who was his mistress was waiting in their motel room when he was killed. Jesse Jackson was also there but not beside MLK, as he alleged, when he was killed. When Jesse heard about the shooting, he ran to MLK, put his hand in the blood and wiped it on himself.

I was not in Memphis when MLK was killed, but I was in another city looking out my second floor office window when he was there and what he told the black men to do to white women, was not gentle nor Christian. He should not be given all the credit for changing segregation in the nation, he was just a mouthpiece. There were other blacks who accomplished far more but never received one word of credit for the hard work they did. MLK took all the credit that was due to the foot-soldiers and the blacks lifted him up as if he was some kind of god.
