I for one kinda enjoy watching some of the memorials that take place and are covered on the news. I am old enough to remember a time when you never saw blacks and white eating in the same resturant. I also vividly remember those white only signs outside of the public pool. My father hired two black fellows he knew from Louisville and move them to MO to work for him. We recieved threats for bringing these two fellows into town. They ended up moving back to Louisville because no one would rent to them.

A lesson from history to be learned here. Learn from past mistakes.
Donkey, I'm getting ready to turn 60 and I to remember the days when Dr. King was talking about his dream. man I'm glad things have changed from the way it was back in the 50's our country has come a long way in the last 50 plus years. and for the better. back then blacks and whites wouldn't allowed to eat together, and today 50 some years later, we have a Black President, Barack Obama and white people will pay 5,000.00 plus dollars a plate just to get to eat in the same room with him. yes sir, we have come a long way. I think Dr. King may have been the man that got the ball rolling.
