I hope you are right....I think he could handle a debate against Obama better than the others for sure. He's pretty brutal.


I actually came away from the debate liking Santorum a little more than before. I'm growing a little tired of the Romney shtick. Ron Paul just doesn't do it for me either.

Agree Santorum is hitting some good points with me as well. I still like Newt for his edge and knowledge. Mitt just rubs me wrong?? I can't put my finger on it but something about him alarms me. I would vote for any of the GOP boys over Obamy any day and twice on Sundays (like the dems did for obamy).
When it comes down to it the upcoming banter between the POTUS and whoever wins this nomination is going to be 'MUST SEE TV". This is going to be "LIVE ACTION BABY" come an gitcha sum!

Santorum REALLY did good. The first time he actually was able to drive some of his points home.

I'm on his side a little with the Right to Life issues, BUT those are not driving forces for me right now. Maybe they should be. Maybe he and the RTL movement is right. MAYBE. But for me, there are much bigger fish to fry.

If it takes a "less conservative" conservative this time, then so be it. I'd much rather have our FISCAL house in order, and then start working on our moral house. That will be a hell of a battle anyways. I do agree that the moral breakdown of families is a BIG issue, and has a lot to do with some of our countries issues.

Santorum quoted statistics about marriage and family and stated that the best way to eliminate poverty was to be MARRIED and stay married.

I cannot find the details on the stats right now, but it was a very compelling argument.

Good debate IMO...however, I believe there is some validity to the concerns regarding Newt's personal life. I believe in the sanctity of marriage, and when a man has gone through three wives, cheating on one that we know of...I just don't believe that that man has good moral fibers. Am I wrong? Sure, Newt has good one liners, but we need much more than that in order to beat Obama. Newt has to much baggage in Washington. On the other hand, Romney care is going to hurt Romney big time. Frankly, I don't know about any of them right now.

Wrong IMO. Watched it start to finish and it was a weak overall performance for Gingrich.

Santorum had his guns blazing, and at times Romney was good. Paul came off loopy as ever. If I had to pick a winner of this debate it would be Santorum hands down.

I really hope Gingrich doesn't make it. During the course of the campaign against Obama he will pop off some comment or do something that will sink him. Even if he doesn't self destruct I don't believe he can win a national election carrying all his baggage. Plus I don't like his personal life, and his current wife is kind of scary. Bless her heart she's looks like she constructed of plastic.

SC will go Romney by a narrow margin over Gingrich, and Santorum will pick up a few more points.

I'm waiting for some dirt on Santorum....He can't be squeaky clean and Conservative!?!? Can he?? So far IMO.... he seems to be the most stable, consistant candidate up there.

Agreed...the morality of our country is shot. Personally, I really don't see that coming back. It's to easy to be a crooked, liar, lazy, cheating bas-turd because for the most part thats what runs our country in Washington and even at the state and city level.

Ron Paul has some good points but not enough of them. He is pretty radical with his statements and at that level he should have tamed them down as to not alarm people.
