I agree about the laws. I would like to have a meeting with everyone and go over what we need and what we don't and make it LAW.Having fished with a couple clubs/tournament trails here and watching how other clubs/trails operate in other areas of the country I will advise this: whatever you adopt as your bylaws/rules, ADHERE to them at all costs. Also - if at all possible, keep money out of the picture and put FISHING and CAMARADERIE as the focus of your club. You may not get the huge numbers, but you'll enjoy the time and energy you put into the club.
I also agree on making it about Fishing and Friendship first.
Its looking pretty good got around 8-9 boats so far guys. Would really like to have around 15. so we could really make it work well. The faster we can get a good number of boats that quicker we can all meet up and get a trail together as a club. and come up with what we all like and meet in the middle. pass the word it is something that is going to be fair, good friendship, and great fishing cause we are going to try to set up the lakes when the fish are biting.
Would like to get a trail out by March 1.

Let me know a schedule Mike I will fish as many as I can with you guys
hey charlie sounds pretty good. We are trying to put together the trail as we speak. Going to try to have 8 team tourneys, 1 man and women tourney, and a classic.
sounds good I like the co-ed deal, and I can get some boats from bluegrass Christian bassmasters to fish a few just get me a schedule I can get ya 4-5 more boats a tournament depending on month and lake
another way to say it,
the direction you have in the mind for the club to go. are you out to share teach one another with plaques or throphy's, or is $ involved? A teaching competitve club is great.
You will have a totally different group fishing for money than those fishing for fun an braggn rights.....Both have there place an both have the interest.
My first bass club in louisville DerbyTown lunker hunters, was a great competive bunch with a strong teaching side, no $, but working together group, I think years later the high price of rigs, travel, equipment, more & more guys felt they needed a return for there investment an so all good things come to an end
So after talking with my wife about the Man and Woman tournament. The one's we fished before where two days. Well she said two days was too much for her and most of the others. So the suggestion was to have it on a weekend everyone go down on Saturday the men pre Fish the girls go shopping, Everyone get to gather and cook out that night. Sunday have the co-ed tournament and then back home. Sounded pretty good too me.
have u ever been in a club stratos19 and casting a jig?
guess it didnt go your way huh?
Thanks Dave, I agree. Lets get back at the topic at hand, Can someone give me a better break down of what club dues are broke up for?Yea that's what it is boo hoo we were fine before and we be fine now
Let me make a suggestion before this gets out of hand...take your personal problems to IM or email....this board is no place for people to discuss their personal problems with one another...period. First and last warning.
keep in mind that we would like to give out trophy's and or plaques. We are also going to build a web site for the club. I will be doing this at cost.
We would like some to go to a big bass pot for the year and maybe some to the classic.
