    Healthcare.....again!

    Just had our annual meeting with our broker and since our employees have searched for some private insurance for their kids and or spouses our rates are not bad.
    We have four choices two PPO plans and two high deduct HSA plans. HSA is prolly gonna be what I choose again but they explained what the Healthcare reform is looking like to them and I was very concerned...again.
    Here I had a choice between several plans but the fear is if the feds get involved to force you to carry something or they force other carriers to charge a HUGE amount while they charge very little what will most folks do? It just concerns me thats what is going to happen. Who does that benefit? Not me, who wants to go to gubment doctors knowing they are getting shafted by weak plans with the gubment.
    Man I hope that once the lawmakers get done reading this Law that was passed by the Dems (before anyone actually knew what was being voted on) it isn't as bad as it could be or its toosed in the can like it should be. The real culprit is fraud, free healthcare to illegals(means more gubment waste for lack of enforcing laws) and bullcrap law suits that rape doctors and hospitals. This has been my opinion all along and hearing these professionals voice the same opinion makes me think this law must be tossed in the can. Turrible way to start the day......

    Open Enrollment for most folks is right now.

    WAIT.......Many of the programs Obama is calling for starts getting paid for this fiscal year.

    Insurance plans are having to deal with these costs now. Those that are not, will either not exist in a few years, or will be VERY EXPENSIVE in a few years.

    In 2013, AFTER the next election, the rest of the plans go into effect. SCARY.........very SCARY.

    Hope and change my friends.......HOPE AND CHANGE.

BUT I have it.I watched a latino couple who couldn't even speak english, admitted to trhe Med.Cent. hospital in Bowling Green for post natal care. Ky the mother is covered for the birth month and month after. That is it, their child is covered for a yr at a time, and each year they have to renew it, the fathers income is all counted in a med case if he has any. Illegals are not getting medical cards that are ongoing they only can get them for themselfs in an emegancy situation. Just wanted to clear up some things. They do receive these benifits that are made possible by tax payer dollars. The man in question is not eligible for medical unless he is citizen or emrg situation.

    Here is something I have been wondering about. Are the insurance companies using the threat of government health care as an excuse to raise everyone's premiums? After all, they are raising rates over something that hasn't happened yet, much like gas prices rising the day an oil spill occurs.

    It has happened......do you suppose INSURANCE companies are going to NOT adjust for requirements put forth in law?

    * Mandatory coverage until age 26.
    * No pre-existing conditions.

    Those are already in law.......in effect this year.
