I interrupt the wording below to mean that you can't hunt rabbits on Bluegrass after Jan 31st 2012 until next year. The regular rabbit hunting season is for areas that are not IDNR Fish and Wildlife Properties in the list below. So if you want to hunt rabbits around Bluegrass you would have to hunt on private ground around the lake and not on the Bluegrass Property. If Newmaster wants to hunt rabbits on his land surrounding the North section of Bluegrass Pit or he gives permission to a friend to hunt there then they could hunt rabbits up until Feb 15, 2012. But if they were to hunt on the Actual Bluegrass Property they could not hunt rabbits after Jan 31st. Does that make sense?

Cottontail rabbit season is from Nov. 4, 2011 to Feb. 15, 2012. Rabbits may be hunted from Oct. 1, 2011 to Jan. 31, 2012 on Atterbury, Blue Grass, Chinook, Crosley, Fairbanks Landing, Glendale, Hillenbrand, Hovey Lake, Jasper-Pulaski, Kankakee, Kingsbury, LaSalle, Minnehaha, Sugar Ridge, Splinter Ridge, Pigeon River, Tri-County, Wilbur Wright, Willow Slough and Winamac fish and wildlife areas and Brookville, Hardy, Mississinewa, Monroe, Patoka, Roush and Salamonie lakes
