    Lake Barkley

Headed to Barkley for some bass fishing this weekend, we will be around the Eddyville area. Anyone have any info on what we need to be doing? This is the earliest I ever fished down there so kinda need some help. I will update a review when I get back to help anyone else that might be down there. Thanks for the help

    Re: Lake Barkley

I'll be heading there for the first time in April. I have been on Kentucky several times but never on Barkley.

Can anyone tell me about navigating Barkley? I've heard that there are a lot of places where you can bust a prop. Can anyone share info on where NOT to go, where do I need to be cautious of hitting something?
Can anyone provide the link to an online version topographic map?

Wish I could help you out teamhotshot.

Sorry Team hot shot I can't help you.

wtfletcher I agree with Embrey hopefully the water will be at summer pool when you go. As far as staying in the channel they do keep them marked better than Kentucky Lake. Keep an eye on your depth finder and go slow until you have became comfortable with the area. If you are not sure come off plane and idle into the bays that are not marked especially if the lake is low.

When I was at KY Lake this past weekend the water temp was in mid 40's. I caught my bass on a jerkbait and I saw a couple of other guys catching them on it too. I also saw one or two guys catch a bass on the Alabama Rig. Good luck this weekend.

    Thanks Roadrunner and Embrey!
I have the 2010 Navionics HM Platinum on my lowrance. That should do the trick. But I feel much better when I hear from the folks on this site. Thanks again!
    Fish on!
