River is projected to crest at 21 ft. Saturday. Last year the lakes did not get down to summer pool till early June. Sure is screwing up winter river fishing.

It's hard for me to be bitter about the high lake levels when I start thinking about the lives and property that been saved by our flood contol lakes. Maybe a little inconvenience is not that high of a price to pay.

I hope the lakes get way up again this spring. I had the BEST year of my life fishing on Rough River lake in the high water last spring and early summer.

I'll second that. Never ever thought the fishing could be that good on Barren,20lbs was nothing for us. The number of 3s and 4s we caught was starting to get scary lol
