I think they should quit calling it a collapse.

The bridge did not collapse. A boat demolished it!

So, do they fix it, or escalate building the new bridge......I wonder if it is worth 50-100 million to perform the repairs.

The transportation cabinet said the bridge was in the process of being replaced and pre-construction work had been started months ago. My guess is the SS Minnow playing Bumper Boats will add a little fire under somebody's butt to get the new bridge built. One thing is for sure, Ken Lake ramp just became a tad bit more crowded and The Fenton Ramp just got a few more openings.

I hope. The bridge was awful. None of the local schools would even allow bus travel over it. So hopefully this will speed up the new bridge construction.

No doubt is it HORRIBLE..............a few years ago I had a van side swipe me on that bridge. ONLY tore off my mirror and barely brushed my old boat, but MAN oh MAN, it could have been bad.....

I HATE crossing that bridge.......

I never can figure out which bridge is which down there on KY lake. I know were the bridges are located in the Paris Landing parts of KY lake but I never did know the names of the bridges. I know that there are more than one that crosses the lake.

Is this the bridge over the Big Sandy or is this bridge up more towards the Dam?
