I apreciate everyone's input. Now...as far as Romney is concerned...there's just something about that guy that rubs me the wrong way, for some reason I get the feeling that I can't trust him as far as I can throw him, maybe it's because he's a politician (they all tend to make me feel this way now days it seems). I really do hope he's not the republican choice. However...whoever the republican nominee turns out to be, I will NOT be voting for NObama, I didn't vote for him in 2008, nor will I vote for him in 2012.

I've heard more negative comments about Romney than most any other politician. Somehow, it always ends up that the person won't vote for him because he is wealthy. Is every politician - city - county - state- or federal, supposed to be as poor as a church mouse, drive an old rattletrap of a truck, and live in a falling down house before they are qualified to hold office?

It would really be nice to have a president who loves and cares for the nation. Obama has stopped the Canadian pipeline and now they are planning to sell their oil to China. I guess American oil companies are making large contributions to Obama or he is making large promises to them.

I don't care about wealthy or poor...all I want is a guy that appears to me as having the leadership this country needs....I'm afraid we may never see a candidate like that again, that's what it's beginning to look like these days.

As for the Canadian pipeline...is that already dead in the water or are they still investigating an alternative route?

After I posted that, an article appeared on the news that said that the Legislature would try to attach the pipeline bill to two other bills that are up for vote. I hope it passes because the USA can use the jobs. I've read some of the silliest comments as to why we should not allow it and none of them makes sense.

I'll take Romney over Newt any day. and for the pipeline, if the oil is for the better of the american people. why does it need to run all the way to the gulf. there are oil refineries in, Montana, North Dakota, Colorado, Nevada, Kentucky. could it be that they are pushing for the pipeline to run all the way down to the gulf, so the oil can be refined into gas and loaded on the big tanker ships and sold to the world. that would help the big oil company's a lot, but wouldn't help us at the pump.

This oil Would also come to Robinson Ill from the Patoka Illinois terminal to the Marathon refinery. This oil is a very sour crude and not every refinery can use it.

The only reason not to build the pipe line is the price of gasoline would drop and the green environmentalist crew can not afford cheaper gas because it would kill the alternative fuels they so desperately want.

Also Warren Buffet would not get to haul the oil on his rail road.

I read that most of the oil would be refined to gasoline and SHIPPED elsewhere.

I don't mind that, if our fuel costs drop, but if they stay the same, well Don't build it.

Geo this is not going to be funded from the government it is all private funding. The U.S. refineries have to buy oil from someone why would we not want to deal with Canada and with the pipe line the shipping cost would be greatly reduced compared to oil shipped from the Mideast. It makes no sense not to build it.

I'm just tired of being SCREWED by the prices........No way, NO HOW the costs should be as high as they are. Demand is lower than before, Oil is lower, yet Gas costs are CRAZY.......
