    1. False
    2. False
    3. False
    4. True & False...Utah does have the highest population of Mormons because it was FOUNDED by the Mormon church. In actuality, there are more Mormons in Latin America then anywhere else in the world.
    5. True & Very False...Mormons are encouraged to tithe 10% of their income. They are in NO way required to show pay stubs our proof of income. And in NO way was the Catholic church utilized in the organizational structure of the LDS church.
    6. False, false, and false.
    7. False....unless you consider Christianity a cult...however true in the fact that the Mormon church is continuing to grow exponentially...not because of politicians, but because of its teachings.

    1. Mormon policy is that there must be a temple built within a mile of every public high school in America. This policy has actually been implemented successfully in Utah, Arizona, Idaho, Montana, Washington, Oregon and is almost complete in Nevada.

    2. Mormon parents must seek school board appointment in an effort to enact policies that support the goals of the Mormon church. For example -time away from class as well as class credit for their highschool age children to attend Temple classes during the school day. This policy has been very successful in Arizona. Even at my kids school- which has low Mormon enrollment- the kids are allowed to use first period for temple class- and the temple is just across the street from the high school. This policy allows Mormon’s to use the tax payer provided public school system to their advantage.

    3. Mormon’s are strongly encouraged if not required to serve in public office- again in an effort to influence public policy decisions that benefit the Mormon values and goals.

    4. Utah has the greatest concentration of Mormons in the country- second is Arizona. Utah has the highest per capita suicide rate in the country- most suicides accomplished with a gun.

    5. Mormon’s are required to tithe 10%- and this is checked against pay stubs by the bishop of the stake. (Ward is a parish, a “stake” is a diocese- they took catholic organizational ideas when developing the organization of the Mormon church). If they do not show pay stubs to check their tithing they can be excommunicated.

    6. The Mormon’s are very focused on developing networks- they hire only Mormons when they are in a position to hire, they trade amongst themselves including homes-and they have their own financing network. They offer low interest or interest free mortgages to members, also they subsidize college tuition for members going to Brigham Young Univ.

    7. Much of the Super Pac money supporting Romney is coming from the Mormon church. The Mormon “church” is a cult, and a very, very clever one. Most of the male members of the church are encouraged to pursue higher educational degrees and public policy positions.
If you elect a Mormon to President you can be assured that the Mormon church’s power, size and influence will grow exponentially.

I didn't intend to stir the pot when starting this thread...if you'll read my original post you'll see I have no idea at all about the Mormon religeon. I copy clipped the info provided to me straight from an email sent to me and pasted in my original post. Now I will have something to show the person who sent the information to me.

I apreciate everyone's input. Now...as far as Romney is concerned...there's just something about that guy that rubs me the wrong way, for some reason I get the feeling that I can't trust him as far as I can throw him, maybe it's because he's a politician (they all tend to make me feel this way now days it seems). I really do hope he's not the republican choice. However...whoever the republican nominee turns out to be, I will NOT be voting for NObama, I didn't vote for him in 2008, nor will I vote for him in 2012.

The pipeline would send crude, which is more difficult to crack, to refinerys on the gulf coast,From there it will be refined and shipped to south america and europe. So who profits? If big oil wants it on the gulf, its not because they are altruitic, they can make more money selling refined product. Why not build a refinery in vancover? This is more oil lobby at work,if its built in the USA I'll bet there will be tax incentives, looser pipeline regs. BIG OIL IS NOT OUR FRIEND.

DA, every single bit of information is sourced, so no, I don't any concerns about it being untruthful. There's also a section on that website dealing very straightforwardly with rebuttals to that information.

I have studied Mormonism, yes. What's written there squares up with what I have read in secular and non-secular places.

Rich, those are all sourced to Mormon authors, and in some cases to the core doctrines of Mormonism.

I don't want to demonize LDS, but to agree with LDS founder Joseph Smith. Smith claimed that God told him that all Christian denominations are wrong. As per the LDS website:

Yeah, better clarify that. I agree with Smith that the LDS faith is incompatible with Christianity.

I've heard more negative comments about Romney than most any other politician. Somehow, it always ends up that the person won't vote for him because he is wealthy. Is every politician - city - county - state- or federal, supposed to be as poor as a church mouse, drive an old rattletrap of a truck, and live in a falling down house before they are qualified to hold office?

It would really be nice to have a president who loves and cares for the nation. Obama has stopped the Canadian pipeline and now they are planning to sell their oil to China. I guess American oil companies are making large contributions to Obama or he is making large promises to them.
