Does anyone know if any part of lake is closed to fishing (with exception to immediate area) due to bridge accident?
Had a buddy go down there over the weekend he was told by water patrol that water was off limits from 1 mile north to mile marker 42 south not sure where that is exactly but they were initally told 1000 feet and they went into Barnett bay then they came in there and told them they had to leave and go with the information I mention above. and this was for all recreational traffic. I don't know how long that will stay in effect but thats what it was on Sunday. Hope this helps a little
This was taken from the Eggner's Ferry Bridge Collapse Information Center "The Coast Guard has also closed the area around the bridge to recreational boats, although commercial river traffic has now resumed".
Yep..your right on. The alert I received from the Coast Guard states that commercial traffic is running and that it is closed to recreational traffic from one mile north of the bridge to one mile south of the bridge.
That leaves 182 miles of Ky Lake still available to recreational traffic and fishing.....I think I could find a fish somewhere in that area..lol.
There is lot's of water north and south of that bridge, just can't go through that area to get to it. I would probably stay north and just go to Barkley if you can't find fish there.Yep..your right on.
