Fished at Sugar Ridge for about 4hrs today before the rain started. Had a great day for January catching 16 bass. Not much size though with a couple 16 inchers being the biggest. Most fish came on jigs in 6-8ft and a few on a susp jerkbait over the same areas.

This was just a no name pit. Big fish are few and far between up there, might head to Bluegrass tomorrow for a better chance at a good one..
Went back to SR this morning for a few hours to try a new lake. Managed 12 bass with 3 nice keepers and a couple more that may have went 14. Everything came on a jig today, couldnt get bit on a jerkbait.
Those Suger Ridge lakes are great for that - there are a ton of lakes and pits that offer a lot of different looks. Deep and clear, shallow and stained, grass, wood, it has it all. You choose a lake that fits your style or try something different. Caught some real nice crappie and some good bass too last couple of years. Nice job man - keep us updated - wish I still lived 30 mins from there.
