I was wanting to go fish Boltz Lake. But i do not know anyone that has fished it. I also have not see anything on the internet about it. Any tips or information would be appreciated.
It's a nice lake but there is not much visible cover, which I guess does not matter this time of year. I know the last time I was there they had thrown some Christmas trees out on the points. As for pointers, throw whatever your best with!
Have not been there in 2 years, went there a few times nothing but dinks.
About the same as any other state lake over fished.

If your looking to fish it anytime soon, I'd hold off it was pretty muddy last I saw. It's not a very big lake, kinda like a big pond, though there are fish to be caught there.
If you do go, or already went, I'd love to see a report.
2nd what King Fisher said - The water looks like chocolate milk. Pass it everyday off I75.

Saturday afternoon it was very muddy and wind was blowing pretty hard towards the dam. Thanks for the info.
This time of year at Boltz, a Silver Buddy usually produces best with a jig and pig a close second. I would concentrate on main lake points and everything past the last big creek on the right going towards the dam. That lake used to be known for numbers of small bass. Along with several friends, I have caught over 100 in one day there but that was years ago. I have heard of some very respectable sacks being weighed in there in the Friday night tournaments during the summer.
