I have got to get out and catch some fish after being cooped up in the house all winter. A friend of mine made an A-rig for me, and gave me some supplies to make a few more. My question is are they productive in the winter? Either in small ponds, or a big impoundment.
If they are, how do you fish them in the winter, and what type of structure should you try fishing around when the water is still very cold? At what depth should you look for bass that would hit an A-rig?

It's slowed down from 30lb bags on ky lake to 25-30lb bags caught on the rig and jerkbaits, but yes they've been wackin em.
Was at Kentucky Lake this weeked. Still hitting it pretty good...had about 18 pounds, best 5, with about a dozen keepers. Not the big sacks that some of the locals are catching, but a lot of fun all the same.
It has been this winter!
