I have been reading about jerkbaits in the early springtime. I was wanting to try them on Nolin. Has anyone used them on Nolin before and what type of jerkbait can you suggest?

Never had much luck on Nolin with a Jerkbait. My experience has been the water being to dirty in the spring with spring rains for the jerkbait to work efficiently. But that's just my experience. I'm sure others have had good success on them.
I caught a few fish on jerkbaits there in mid feb last year. I only used it for a minute though
My biggest fish on Nolin came off a Lucky Craft Live Pointer jerkbait. I wore them out a couple years ago on them.
I have had great luck with soft jerkbaits at nolin but not much with hard jerkbaits. A soft jerkbait tossed in to a jump will produce just about every cast !
Caught many fish in March on a jerkbait on Nolin...best luck has been down by the dam where the water is typically a little clearer. I love throwing pointers, but on Nolin, for whatever reason, I have had more luck with a silver/black Smithwick Rogue.
Thanks for the replies.. I have caught fish in May with a Redfin and was wondering if anyone has experienced success like you read in the magazine articles. Will be giving it a try....
It is hard to beat a rogue at Nolin.
