Gonna throw this for the first time and don't feel like getting wet going in after it. Kinda expensive to lose. Thanks in advance for your knowledge.

80-lb. Braid of your personal preference.
I use 65# braid and although I got hung up a few times when fishing at Taylorsville I was able to pull my rig back each time. I even pulled up a huge chunk of wood. Good luck with whatever you choose.
I will be throwing mine tomorrow hopefully for the first time. I chose 50lb braid. But everyone i have asked says 65lb braid minimum.
I use 65lb power pro....fishing for musky from the bank the other day i managed to hang it up and wound up with both ends anchored down...I wound up straightening two of the wires so that my swivels pulled off....So I'm completely happy with the power pro
Speaking of fishing for muskie on the A-rigs... My son has been making the rigs and selling them. He and his buddy went fishing with them using wild eye swimming shad and 65 pound braided line.
Here's a video shot on a smart phone of one of the nice muskie that they landed the other day. This one was 47.25 inches. The video is a little better if you make it full screen size.
