Falls Report?

Anyone been recently? Looking to see if the sauger or striped bass are running by chance and what section of the river they are running. Gonna Take my a-rig for a first time trial if conditions allow.

I was wondering the same thing. They are running 49 ft, 45 at the upper and 4 at the lower with the lower level at 21ft. Is this too much current to fish or launch a boat safely? I would appreciate any info if anyone has fished McAlpine lately. Thanks!

Way too much current for me. Cut it in half and I still would be reluctant to put my boat in...

Too much current flow and too high on the lower. Have patience,grasshopper.

Went down at sunrise this morning. Too windy and way too cold. Current was rough and not very good for bank fishing today. Didnt throw my A-rig, the rocks were shallow. And no, i would not launch a boat in these conditions. I wouldnt launch unless water levels were 16ft or below.
