I bought a pro qualifier cranking reel and hated it. No matter what I did it would barely cast. Took it back and got a refund... For the 100 range I think its hard to beat a curado. I have bought a couple of used ones off bass boat central for that range and you can get a new one in the 150 range.

They are shipped with a lot of gunk on the bearings. DELIBERATE. Every one that I've purchased needed to be degreased at the spool bearing and the knob bearing.

Once I did this with some lighter fluid and then 1 drop of good reel oil the SCREAMED.

AND if you really want to get them to blast, replace the 4 10 4 bearings abex 7 bearing......MAN oh MAN. Be sure to relearn to cast and KEEP the thumb down, because you will create a TON of birds nests when you cast with a great, correctly lubed reel.

Check out the Abu Garcia Orra... Very hard to beat for $100 with Abu quality. I have multiple Pro Qualifiers and like them as well. As with all BPS reels, check the factory lube and adjust accordingly. They're known to be overgreased and oiled.
