[QUOTE=Tim_T;480671]Not national titles, because I have been following college basketball so long that I see how much luck you have to have to win one. The best team imo in the history of Louisville basketball didn't get one (1975) and that happens in a lose and your out deal.
The only two things that bothered me when he first got here was his recruiting philosophy that he brought back didn't work, and I didn't expect to get the second NIT appearance. All I ask is to be consistently in the top 20 each season and be poised to make a run at a title every few years. I think for the most part, he has lived up to it.
I guess it is all in the eyes of the beholder.
To you:
10+ Seasons
1 Regular Season Title
1 Conference Tourney Title
1 Final Four
2 Elite Eights
2 NIT's
3 Out in Round 1
2 Out in Round 2
This is competing for Titles every couple of years and a success. This may be for a mid major coach taking over Louisville 10 years ago after a fluke season. But a coach returning to the state where he was a Nazr Mohammed free throw from winning Back to Back titles and recruited enough talent to just about win 3 in a row, sorry this is a coach that had underachieved royally.
